In many cases, their advice is poor or even illegal, and it can result in you being penalized by Medicaid and losing more money than you “protected.”

This is almost always a bad idea. A daily benefit of $200 might seem adequate today. But 20 years from now, due to inflation, the actual cost of care could be closer to $400 per day.
