12 Retirement Jobs You Can Do From Your Recliner

Setting Up an Ergonomic Recliner Workspace

Working from a comfortable chair sounds wonderful, but improper support can cause neck stiffness and lower back pain. Simple adjustments keep your home setup both comfortable and healthy.

Buy a sturdy lap desk with an adjustable surface to elevate your laptop screen closer to eye level. This prevents the head-forward slouch that causes persistent neck strain.

Place a small, firm lumbar pillow behind your lower back to maintain your natural spinal curve. Keep your feet resting flat on the floor or fully supported by the recliner footrest.

Use an external wireless mouse and compact keyboard resting on a side table. This configuration keeps your shoulders relaxed and your wrists in a neutral position.
