Safeway, Albertsons, Vons, Jewel-Osco, and ACME stores share the “For U” loyalty ecosystem. This free program tracks your regular purchases to serve up weekly personalized coupons on items you actually buy—such as fresh fruits, dairy, or favorite coffee brands.
How the “For U” earning mechanics work:
- Earn 1 point for every $1 spent on groceries.
- Earn 2 points for every $1 spent on gift cards.
- Every 100 points converts into 1 Reward unit.
You can redeem Rewards for direct cash markdowns at checkout (such as $1 to $7 off your final basket) or for fuel discounts. Every 100 points equates to a 10-cent-per-gallon discount at store gas stations and participating Chevron or Texaco stations.
In select regional divisions, Safeway and Albertsons stores sponsor a Senior Discount Day on the first Wednesday of each month. Older adults aged 55 and up receive 10% off eligible grocery purchases when using their “For U” account. Ask your local store manager if your regional location participates in this monthly promotion.
